Just Like That, I am Back

Image
If I said I was back, would you believe me? Blogging is complicated, and there are so many "get rich quick" blogging schemes that make it look like you are a lost cause if you are not currently earning money blogging. And why are you even blogging if you don't have multiple streams of income and entertainment. If you don't have a brand? I do have this website, but I do not have Instagram, Twitter, TikTok (you don't want to see me dance), or whatever is next.  Heck, I haven't even updated this since before the pandemic. So why am I here, writing about being back and then, probably ghosting for another two years? Life has been rough. It's been painful and overwhelming. I am so thankful for you my readers, or what is left of you. I am so thankful you are reading this post. I am so thankful that you are still committed to making the world a more exciting and more sustainable place.  Keep up-cycling my friends, and you never know, I might be back again with an

That's quite an ambitious list and I hope you make a big dent! :) Mine involves a balance of r&r and productivity including:
1. Finishing up my craft room reorganization
2. Knocking a few things off my Christmas "to make" list
3. Catching up on some business reading (I've saved a lot of articles about starting your own craft business) and some creative reading (a great Michael Chabon book)
4. Creating some holiday/fall decor (I'm loving all the buntings I'm seeing everywhere and I want to try my hand at one)
5. A Sunday afternoon nap

I really, really need to get my Etsy shop going too, but that will have to wait for another weekend.
Whoa! Thats quite a list you got there!
Well,my list continues to grow unfortunately.
My work hours went from 15-20 hrs a week to 40 hrs a week for the last 3 weeks so I keep saving things for the weekend and then all I want to do is rest.
However, do plan to do a little quick shopping(clothes),finish a halloween shaker I have been working on and to work on a special halloween project that I will post in a few weeks with a tutorial.I can't wait!
Thats just the list of things I will most deffinately do, the other list is stuff I would like to get done but if not oh well.
Lucky for me I reorganised my craft room yesterday :)

But I did my own to do list on my blog.. check it!

Wowza! That's quite the list! I'm such a list person too. I have those little computer sticky notes everywhere on my desktop! I like the idea of posting it to your blog though. Kinda holds you accountable. I might just have to steal this idea!

My friday to do list:
Teach bootcamp workout #1
Teach bootcamp workout #2
Shower and eat lunch
Thrift shop for clothes
Check out links from my fall linky party!!

Good luck with yours!

That is a pretty ambitious list! I have one like that too, but for this weekend and into next week I plan to:
1.find fabric for the quilt kits I have sold and get them shipped 2. help Big K with destructo boy's birthday party 3. figure out the paint colors for the downstairs renovation, buy paint I need to finish it 4. make a small sample quilt for a custom order 5. finish painting all three rooms 6. finish reorganizing my craft room so I can get back to work.

After I get done with all that I have a lot of plans for my blog and some tutorials and stash busting projects!

This weekend:

I have a photo gig most of the day Saturday documenting our church's city-wide missions day.

Re-do my fireplace.

Work in my shed (massive clean out that will takes DAYS).

Glaze and stain some furniture.

Poly some other furniture.

Haul some trash & recycles to the dump (one downside of country living... no trash service).

- Clean up after my son (which NEVER ends, you have a boy, you understand)
- Finish some pants for my father-in-law
- Put gas in both cars
- Get milk
- Watch my show (which I have missed the last 3 saturdays, and it's not aired on the internet, so if I miss it, then I miss it, we use bunny ears still, cause we're awesome, and we don't watch enough tv to make it worth buying any plan)
