Just Like That, I am Back

Image
If I said I was back, would you believe me? Blogging is complicated, and there are so many "get rich quick" blogging schemes that make it look like you are a lost cause if you are not currently earning money blogging. And why are you even blogging if you don't have multiple streams of income and entertainment. If you don't have a brand? I do have this website, but I do not have Instagram, Twitter, TikTok (you don't want to see me dance), or whatever is next.  Heck, I haven't even updated this since before the pandemic. So why am I here, writing about being back and then, probably ghosting for another two years? Life has been rough. It's been painful and overwhelming. I am so thankful for you my readers, or what is left of you. I am so thankful you are reading this post. I am so thankful that you are still committed to making the world a more exciting and more sustainable place.  Keep up-cycling my friends, and you never know, I might be back again with an

Stashbusting Confessions

If you ever wondered why anyone would start a Stashbusting September month look no further than the various corners of my basement.

I am fortunate enough to have a finished basement, but I think my "stash" is eating it. I mean I don't even know what all I have there is so much stuff I need to conquer.

Here are a few, very embarrassing, pictures.

Laundry Room
Ouch do you see what I have done?

More of the Laundry Room
I can not pass up a good bargain, free is even better, and I just never say no.

My husband built this for the kids, not for me.
It's like I have totally taken over. I am supposed to sew a cushion for this, but there is so much stuff. Yuck.

I feel totally naked now. You all know my secret hoarding problem. You also no I need help! I highly encourage you to photograph your stash (and publish it on your blog if you are feeling so bold). so you will have a record of what you are working with and how much you have accomplished.

Now get to work! That is what I am off to do now!

Oh, these pictures make me feel so much better about my stash! I am a hoarder, big time. I hate throwing anything away that could possibly be upcycled at any point in the future, and I love tshirt quilts, so I have literally 7 trashbags full of t-shirts and holey jeans just waiting for some craft-loving. They've already moved with me twice and my husband swears he won't be moving them again!

I can't wait to see what you do with your stash! Thanks again for hosting.

I love seeing other people's stashes. Is that sick? lol Mine's not that bad, but considering it's confined to my bedroom..it is. I know what you mean about free. My stash did fit in my nice neat canvas storage boxes until the free monster reared his ugly head! People now know I'm crafty, and so when they're cleaning stuff out, it all comes to me! lol

You've just given me the idea to host a linky party for people to post their stashes!!! It'll be up on Friday! Hope to see you there!

You are so brave to post pictures of your stash. I am quite sure I am not ready to take that step of showing my mess to the world (or at least not the handfull of people who may read my blog). I can only take little steps of showing the finished projects I used my stash for. I probably have some form of stash in every room of my house.

I love your pics - because mine would be just as bad, er, I mean, lovely. I am so looking forward to your stashbust projects - I am super inspired by you (and all the participants, some of my favorite bloggers!) and plan to work on some good stashbusting along with you all!

Your post encouraged me to take some pictures of a small portion of my stash (still a lot of pictures) and post it on my blog. Thanks for the motivation.

Mine only looks neater because I hid the mess via the photo composition, lol. Every time I teach a class, my studio looks worse. I really need to work on it.

I figured that if I was going to show my stash I would have to show the hole darn thing. That way I am completely accountable...LOL
