Just Like That, I am Back

If I said I was back, would you believe me? Blogging is complicated, and there are so many "get rich quick" blogging schemes that make it look like you are a lost cause if you are not currently earning money blogging. And why are you even blogging if you don't have multiple streams of income and entertainment. If you don't have a brand? I do have this website, but I do not have Instagram, Twitter, TikTok (you don't want to see me dance), or whatever is next.  Heck, I haven't even updated this since before the pandemic. So why am I here, writing about being back and then, probably ghosting for another two years? Life has been rough. It's been painful and overwhelming. I am so thankful for you my readers, or what is left of you. I am so thankful you are reading this post. I am so thankful that you are still committed to making the world a more exciting and more sustainable place.  Keep up-cycling my friends, and you never know, I might be back again with an

The $20 Party

My daughters birthday is coming up and I am challenging myself to throwing her a fabulous party for a mere $20.

What does this $20 include:

  • Decorations
  • Party Favors
  • Invites
What it does not include:
  • Food & Drink
  • Plates
Now of course I have the right to change the parameters throughout the course of this month, but I am basically going to try to use what I already have and borrow what I can to make this a fabulous party without the cost.

I am going to have a very decorative little shindig, awesome party favors for the kids, and an event everyone will be talking about for quite some time. So can I do it? Heck yeah!

So what is the theme?

Cat in the hat, What do you think about that?

Oh, you could totally do it. I recently gave my daughter a Fairy party for under 15, and that included food, a goodies bag, and some fun crafts.
You could even make some Cat in the Hat hats out of some felt.

Great idea! I think it's definitely do-able and the thing is, kids never know (or really care!) how much money you spend!! I love that theme! So awesome!

If you have any white and red fabric, then you can sew their goody bags out of that. Or you could use some red and white plastic bags, fuse them, and sew bags out of that. Fusing plastic is when you iron them between parchment paper. My blog and you tube channel has instructions on how to do that.

If you have some old cds, marbles, and water bottle caps, you can glue them to make a spin top. Decorate the cd with a spiral with Cat in the Hat colors.

With Dr. Suess the sky is the limit. Got an old record player? Do some spin art with the kids. You can use markers or paint.

I'm looking forward to your posts on it.

Party favours are a waste of money. I'd scrap them.
