Just Like That, I am Back

If I said I was back, would you believe me? Blogging is complicated, and there are so many "get rich quick" blogging schemes that make it look like you are a lost cause if you are not currently earning money blogging. And why are you even blogging if you don't have multiple streams of income and entertainment. If you don't have a brand? I do have this website, but I do not have Instagram, Twitter, TikTok (you don't want to see me dance), or whatever is next.  Heck, I haven't even updated this since before the pandemic. So why am I here, writing about being back and then, probably ghosting for another two years? Life has been rough. It's been painful and overwhelming. I am so thankful for you my readers, or what is left of you. I am so thankful you are reading this post. I am so thankful that you are still committed to making the world a more exciting and more sustainable place.  Keep up-cycling my friends, and you never know, I might be back again with an

One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish: Guest Post for Helping Little Hands Read Along Month

When Polly Told me about her Awesome"Read Along Month" over at Helping Little Hands I knew what I had to do for the project.

For those of you who don't know my children are obsessed with Dr. Suess. They just read the foot book and all we do is talk about feet right now (future podiatrists?) but before the foot obsession came the fish obsession!

I mean who doesn't love fish?

 These guys certainly do.

So what is an upcycler going to do but break out those crayons that had been collecting dust and make a few little fishies for the kidlets to play with.

Peel off the wrappers and put them in silicon ice cube trays to melt in the oven at 225 for about twenty minutes (or if it is warm you can just leave them outside for the day.)

I apologize i don't have a picture of the trays I used for the fish. So here are some I used for the heart crayons I made.

Yep that is them melting (again wrong molds but what is a girl to do when she loses her camera the night before a post is supposed to be ready?)

There are a lot of fish molds out there but my favorite is the Go Gama mold. I LOVE the detail.

So let your crayons cool, pop them out of the molds and you are ready to color with your very own one fish two fish red fish blue fish.

This makes the most die-hard of Suess fans very happy!

Happy reading!

Love this idea! What a fun one, and the shapes are probably easier for really little hands to hold onto. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much for participating!! I love those fish molds. They're perfect for the book!
