Just Like That, I am Back

If I said I was back, would you believe me? Blogging is complicated, and there are so many "get rich quick" blogging schemes that make it look like you are a lost cause if you are not currently earning money blogging. And why are you even blogging if you don't have multiple streams of income and entertainment. If you don't have a brand? I do have this website, but I do not have Instagram, Twitter, TikTok (you don't want to see me dance), or whatever is next.  Heck, I haven't even updated this since before the pandemic. So why am I here, writing about being back and then, probably ghosting for another two years? Life has been rough. It's been painful and overwhelming. I am so thankful for you my readers, or what is left of you. I am so thankful you are reading this post. I am so thankful that you are still committed to making the world a more exciting and more sustainable place.  Keep up-cycling my friends, and you never know, I might be back again with an

Spring Stashbust Rules & Sign-Up

Congratulations you are taking the first step in busting some stash. For one month you will put your credit card on ice and use only what you have on hand.

Think it will be hard?

Actually once you get going and see your crafting supplies go from overwhelming your house to a more ordered crafting room that can easily be maneuvered you will be glad you took this challenge.

So what do you have to do? First you need to sign up below. List the name of your blog and take the challenge. You are basically committing to abstaining from any craft supply purchase unless absolutely necessary for a period of 30 days. ***March 22nd through April 22nd to be exact***

Wait did I say unless absolutely necessary? So does that mean a sale on fleece is okay to indulge in? NO! Absolutely necessary means you either need to purchase supplies for a business (NO PERSONAL USE) or if you ran out of thread, glue, or mod podge and can not craft without it than yes you can purchase a spool.

Secondly you need to take a "before" picture of your stash. I know you don't want to admit to being one shopping trip away from hoarders but the only way to face the stash is to admit that yes you so have a crafting stash and you are committed to getting it under control.  It would be great if you would be brave enough to post your "before" picture on your blog, but hey this is your challenge.

If you are participating in the Spring Stashbust please put this button on your blog so others can join in the stashbusting fun. You will be helping to promote this round of Spring Stashbusting.

How long will the stashbusting be taking place?

Great idea! I've recently posted about my ridiculous fabric stash, and I've been working my way through it since the start of the year. What about buttons & zippers? Can we buy them to make a project if fasteners aren't part of our hoarding problem?

The picture taking means I'm going to have to consolidate all my fabric into one spot. Currently it's in my craft room and my guest room. Speaking of pictures, when I copied the code under your stashbusting button it didn't work and show the pic when I pasted it in the HTML gadget on blogger. Any ideas why?

Thanks so much for hosting this. This'll light a fire under me to get my fabric stash under control.

I love the idea of the before pictures of the stash! Except mine would have to be 11 pictures, because I just counted and that's the number of places around my house I have giant pile of stuff squirreled away. Embarrassing!

Yeah I have a ton stash piles that I will be brave enough to post.

If you buy buttons only for a project that you will be making with your stash that is okay. do not buy extras.

Sorry about the button I will be fixing it tonight. I was in a hurry and probably messed up the code.

This is going at the top of my party post today, and we're going to do some serious planning...unlike our shameful showing last time.
I would love to de-stash again but I can't start until March 26th. That weekend is my annual crafty pilgrimage (sewing retreat) and it always entail going to my favorite fabric store. Can I get a waiver ?? Please ?

Have a great day!

*sigh* Oh, okay, I'm in again! I haven't crafted much since the last Stashbusters event, but I NEED to create before I go into severe withdrawals & this may motivate me to get moving on cleaning & organizing the old she-cave again.
Thanks Robin!

Do I have to take a picture of my stash? I reaally prefer to make "Craft Hoarding" not put me as a poster child. Also, Id actually have to drag all the piles together....empty like 3 55 gallon totes....not to mention the 22 gallon ones or the baskets. Good grief...I AM the poster child....

I so have to get rid of my stash.

And...since when is a great sale on fleece NOT a necessity?!?!

Honey ;)

What a great idea. We are currently in the process of moving but this would be a nice challenge for myself after we move. I will need to get my stash down before setting up a craft area in our new house. Thanks for suggesting I like up my princess dress tutorial on your up-cycle post. I just did that. Thanks again for your sweet comment:>
