Just Like That, I am Back

 If I said I was back, would you believe me? Blogging is complicated, and there are so many "get rich quick" blogging schemes that make it look like you are a lost cause if you are not currently earning money blogging. And why are you even blogging if you don't have multiple streams of income and entertainment. If you don't have a brand? I do have this website, but I do not have Instagram, Twitter, TikTok (you don't want to see me dance), or whatever is next.  Heck, I haven't even updated this since before the pandemic. So why am I here, writing about being back and then, probably ghosting for another two years? Life has been rough. It's been painful and overwhelming. I am so thankful for you my readers, or what is left of you. I am so thankful you are reading this post. I am so thankful that you are still committed to making the world a more exciting and more sustainable place.  Keep up-cycling my friends, and you never know, I might be back again with an

Momma's Shirt to Daughters Dress

The Summer is so busy! Races, vacations, reunions, it never seems to end.

On top of all of that a girl needs to try and get her craft on, right? Where is the time.

I was so excited to find out that my friend wanted a dress made for her daughters birthday! I mean really any excuse to get some crafting done, right.

Here is momma and the shirt:


Momma and her girl volunteer for a place called the Second Hand Mutts whose motto is:
Respect the Dog.  They do this by:


We respect the dog by providing shelter.
We respect the dog by stopping the over population of dogs.
We respect the dog by providing necessary veterinary care and treatment.
We respect the dog by placing them in forever homes.
We are Secondhand Mutts and we respect the dog. 

 The only problem that momma is running into is that she is the proud parent of a dress girl so wearing a volunteer shirt is not her thing. So for her birthday I took mommas shirt and turned it into this dress:


C1 is modeling it and it is a size bigger than she is (her friend is going into kindergarten and C1 is so jealous!)

Such a fun little project and I can not wait to see it on the birthday girl.

Hello lovely T-shirt Diary followers!  The Pink Bat Girl is here to rescue you from plain old scrap wood and boredom today with a fun Memorial Day upcycled project!  My block wood is courtesy of an old toddler bed that all of my kids used from Ikea.  The bed has been given away, however, we still had the old wood that went under the mattress.  I thought it would make some really great wood blocks! I took this old wood and my hubby's handy dandy saw and cut them into my desired lengths!.. I love power tools!  So if you would like to make some of these fun decorations here is what you need!
