Just Like That, I am Back

If I said I was back, would you believe me? Blogging is complicated, and there are so many "get rich quick" blogging schemes that make it look like you are a lost cause if you are not currently earning money blogging. And why are you even blogging if you don't have multiple streams of income and entertainment. If you don't have a brand? I do have this website, but I do not have Instagram, Twitter, TikTok (you don't want to see me dance), or whatever is next.  Heck, I haven't even updated this since before the pandemic. So why am I here, writing about being back and then, probably ghosting for another two years? Life has been rough. It's been painful and overwhelming. I am so thankful for you my readers, or what is left of you. I am so thankful you are reading this post. I am so thankful that you are still committed to making the world a more exciting and more sustainable place.  Keep up-cycling my friends, and you never know, I might be back again with an

Welcome Baby Banner!

Ohhh I have baby on the brain!  Don't get too excited now.. this is NOT a pregnancy announcement (although I would not be opposed to a fourth if it happened)!
Nope.. my next door neighbor who is also one of my besties just had a baby girl!  Whoo hoo!
She is coming home today so I thought it would be fun to put a cute little welcome banner in her house as a surprise!
So here it is!

And here is how I made it from materials in my stash!

Ingredients
Heavy scrapbook paper
Cricut
Twine
Clothespins
Glue stick
Buttons
Ribbon
ignore the purpe ribbon.. it was my original plan but it was too short!
First I made a template of a onesie, dress and bootie on a paper bag.
Next I cut out all of my shapes onto scrapbook paper.
Then I cut out the words Welcome Grace with my Cricut
Finally I glued all of the letters onto the outfits and embellished with buttons and ribbon.
Last I strung it across my twine with clothespins and Viola!  A cute welcome sign for my newest neighbor!
She loves it!
Love,
Amie

This is why I need a cricut or a silhoutte or some fancy paper cutter. I love everything everyone makes and I just have to make due with my exacto Knife. Great work!
