Just Like That, I am Back

 If I said I was back, would you believe me? Blogging is complicated, and there are so many "get rich quick" blogging schemes that make it look like you are a lost cause if you are not currently earning money blogging. And why are you even blogging if you don't have multiple streams of income and entertainment. If you don't have a brand? I do have this website, but I do not have Instagram, Twitter, TikTok (you don't want to see me dance), or whatever is next.  Heck, I haven't even updated this since before the pandemic. So why am I here, writing about being back and then, probably ghosting for another two years? Life has been rough. It's been painful and overwhelming. I am so thankful for you my readers, or what is left of you. I am so thankful you are reading this post. I am so thankful that you are still committed to making the world a more exciting and more sustainable place.  Keep up-cycling my friends, and you never know, I might be back again with an

Chevron Shower Curtain

It's TIme to vote again!



Just in case you didn't guess this was my latest entry. I have to say it wasn't my best work because my original idea had been inspired by a crafter a few seasons ago and I didn't feel like it would be fair to use it.

I love the Dollar Store Crafts challenge. I mean what better challenge than to work with products from a store not known for its mad crafting supplies.

So while I was there I had a genius idea. I would make an ombre ruffled shower curtain. I grabbed a bunch of shower curtains and headed home to get started.

Then I realized that I saw something similar done during S.Y.T.Y. C. Season #7 by See Kate Sew. Bummer, but great minds think alike?

Now I had several shower curtains and nothing to do until it struck me, make a Chevron Shower Curtain.

Chevron is hot right now (an understatement) and I have paint so why not.


I got things started on my basement floor, added chevron stripes and...

 

I need let it dry overnight. Now I just needed to hang it up.
 

I love Chevron, now I want to remake my bedroom into a  black and white haven.
 Oh and the total cost for the new shower curtain $1.00. Not bad because when I looked up Chevron Shower Curtains they run between $78.00 and $95.00 each.

Hello lovely T-shirt Diary followers!  The Pink Bat Girl is here to rescue you from plain old scrap wood and boredom today with a fun Memorial Day upcycled project!  My block wood is courtesy of an old toddler bed that all of my kids used from Ikea.  The bed has been given away, however, we still had the old wood that went under the mattress.  I thought it would make some really great wood blocks! I took this old wood and my hubby's handy dandy saw and cut them into my desired lengths!.. I love power tools!  So if you would like to make some of these fun decorations here is what you need!
