Just Like That, I am Back

If I said I was back, would you believe me? Blogging is complicated, and there are so many "get rich quick" blogging schemes that make it look like you are a lost cause if you are not currently earning money blogging. And why are you even blogging if you don't have multiple streams of income and entertainment. If you don't have a brand? I do have this website, but I do not have Instagram, Twitter, TikTok (you don't want to see me dance), or whatever is next.  Heck, I haven't even updated this since before the pandemic. So why am I here, writing about being back and then, probably ghosting for another two years? Life has been rough. It's been painful and overwhelming. I am so thankful for you my readers, or what is left of you. I am so thankful you are reading this post. I am so thankful that you are still committed to making the world a more exciting and more sustainable place.  Keep up-cycling my friends, and you never know, I might be back again with an

Memorial Day Flowers

Every year I march in a Memorial Day Parade with C1 & C2. We have to decorate our wagon and as much as I like to think that I can come up with something unique and creative I have to admit that I was scouring the blogosphere for some ideas last week.

So what did I come up with? Well if you read the blog MADE (and if you don't you truly should start) you might have seen a tutorial on some lovely Wallflowers that she made.

So yesterday I read over her easy as pie tutorial to refresh my memory. I went to Target and bought three packets of red, white, and blue napkins. I sat down and in about ann hour and a half I whipped up nine of these beauties:

I taped them on our lovely parade float (aka our swagger wagon) and here is what you have:

It's pretty normal for me to bribe the kidlets in order to get them to be good. I tried so hard to get a good picture with the wagon and here is the best that we could do:

Well at least I tried.

Happy Memorial Day!

OMGosh, I love your paper flowers. I remember making these with kleenex when I was a small girl. That was quite awhile ago :o)

I came here via Made By You Monday. Hope you can visit me sometimes over at Pittypat Paperie.
