Just Like That, I am Back

 If I said I was back, would you believe me? Blogging is complicated, and there are so many "get rich quick" blogging schemes that make it look like you are a lost cause if you are not currently earning money blogging. And why are you even blogging if you don't have multiple streams of income and entertainment. If you don't have a brand? I do have this website, but I do not have Instagram, Twitter, TikTok (you don't want to see me dance), or whatever is next.  Heck, I haven't even updated this since before the pandemic. So why am I here, writing about being back and then, probably ghosting for another two years? Life has been rough. It's been painful and overwhelming. I am so thankful for you my readers, or what is left of you. I am so thankful you are reading this post. I am so thankful that you are still committed to making the world a more exciting and more sustainable place.  Keep up-cycling my friends, and you never know, I might be back again with an

Basement Makeover - Before

I won't be around for a while because I am making over my basement/sewing room/ kids playroom.

You might ask why? Well let me show you the horrible over crowded before pictures. Please this is a no judging zone. I mean it is bad.


This is where I am supposed to be sewing my T-shirt dresses. Seriously overcrowded and unorganized. The kid stuff is kind of taking over the room. and I don't have any way to get my serger set up on my tiny desk.



I guess this is why I avoid any projects that involve ironing your stuff first.


Kids storage area turned excess storage area. I really need some help.


This is actually where I end up putting my serger to sew. So said because I was supposed to make cushions so this could be extra sitting room.

As you can see everything has gotten way out of control way to quickly. I am still seing, but it is such an ordeal that until something changes I just can't work.

The good news is the carpet is getting torn out tonight and my hubsters is building me a  huge sewing table. I need it.

I will post some after pictures. I can not wait. Just think of everything I can get done if I actually liked my work area. Watch out world the upcycling awesomeness has only just begun.


So if you have any suggestions, tips, ideas bring them on. Don't be offended if it takes me a while to get back to you, obviously I can not get to my computer because my world has been overtaken by clutter.

Oh I can't wait to see your redo!! It's gonna be great! Don't worry, no one will judge. I think every home has that 1 spot where stuff just accumulates. :)

Yeah for you!! I bet it will be a huge relief. I struggle with accumulation issues constantly...

Oh yes, I have some crazy places that look like that too!

Your present should be getting to you soon...I hope you like it! Just know it was my first attempt at this type of craft, so if it's not perfect that is why!

Hello lovely T-shirt Diary followers!  The Pink Bat Girl is here to rescue you from plain old scrap wood and boredom today with a fun Memorial Day upcycled project!  My block wood is courtesy of an old toddler bed that all of my kids used from Ikea.  The bed has been given away, however, we still had the old wood that went under the mattress.  I thought it would make some really great wood blocks!
