Just Like That, I am Back

If I said I was back, would you believe me? Blogging is complicated, and there are so many "get rich quick" blogging schemes that make it look like you are a lost cause if you are not currently earning money blogging. And why are you even blogging if you don't have multiple streams of income and entertainment. If you don't have a brand? I do have this website, but I do not have Instagram, Twitter, TikTok (you don't want to see me dance), or whatever is next.  Heck, I haven't even updated this since before the pandemic. So why am I here, writing about being back and then, probably ghosting for another two years? Life has been rough. It's been painful and overwhelming. I am so thankful for you my readers, or what is left of you. I am so thankful you are reading this post. I am so thankful that you are still committed to making the world a more exciting and more sustainable place.  Keep up-cycling my friends, and you never know, I might be back again with an

Upcycled Awesome #10

If you are visiting this party I know you are up for a good challenge. Please sign up for Stashbusting September. You know you have some stash to bust!

It's time for Upcycled Awesome, your green linky party dedicated to upcycled crafts and more.  As always you have until Saturday at Midnight to post your upcycled project. It was Sunday, but I think you can get your linky on and call it a day sooner. You guys do rock.

Upcycling is taking something you already have, something rescued from a thrift store, garage sale, or even your neighbors garbage and making it into something new. For more information on upcycling check out this post.

Here are a few of my favorites from last week. If you are featured please do not forget to grab a button.

I just discovered Freckled Laundry, and boy am I loving this website. She offers five uses for that old pair of tights that you spent $12 on and can no longer wear (she had twins, my excuse would be too much ice cream).

EmmyLou over at Sewn had the brilliant, and I mean brilliant idea to do freezer paper stencilling with soft scrub. Now I know soft scrub is responsible for more than one of my shirts getting ruined, just think now you can freezer paper stencil with it.

Freezer paper and Soft Scrub. Brilliant!

I also love this great pattern for a T-shirt Yarn trivet. So simple, so easy, and finally something I can whip up rather quickly with all of my T-shirt reminants. This one is courtesty of My Recycled bags.

We all need a place to go to find green projects on the web so why not link yours up here and then check out other green crafty bloggers. I know I get some amazing ideas from this linky party.
Pretty much anything goes. You can sew, Mod Podge, or redo furniture, as long as it is something that is redone in some way or another. Please do not link up projects made from 100% new materials. I love these products, but they really don't constitute upcycling. Other than that here are the rest of the easy rules:
  • Decide what upcycled project you want to link up (more than one is fine by me!)
  • Link below to that specific blog post not your main blog address
  • Grab a party button and pop it up on your blog someplace visible, like your sidebar, linky page, or your upcycled post.
  • Check out the other upcycled projects and comment on them.
  • Don't be offended if I remove your link. Chances are it wasn't an upcycled project so it doesn't really work for this linky (no giveaways or links to your own linky parties)
  • Click here to see what my take on upcycled is :)
Don't forget to grab a button:

I can't wait to see what you all come up with!

Hey Robin! I passed a blog award your way today! :-)
Robin,
Thanks for hosting! Not sure if my project can be considered upcycled or not. I didn't drag it home, it already was home ;-). So, feel free to let me know if you want me to remove it: White back 2 Bricks Fireplace painting.
