Just Like That, I am Back

If I said I was back, would you believe me? Blogging is complicated, and there are so many "get rich quick" blogging schemes that make it look like you are a lost cause if you are not currently earning money blogging. And why are you even blogging if you don't have multiple streams of income and entertainment. If you don't have a brand? I do have this website, but I do not have Instagram, Twitter, TikTok (you don't want to see me dance), or whatever is next.  Heck, I haven't even updated this since before the pandemic. So why am I here, writing about being back and then, probably ghosting for another two years? Life has been rough. It's been painful and overwhelming. I am so thankful for you my readers, or what is left of you. I am so thankful you are reading this post. I am so thankful that you are still committed to making the world a more exciting and more sustainable place.  Keep up-cycling my friends, and you never know, I might be back again with an

Upcycled Awesome #8

Thank you everyone for making my little linky party the hot place to show off your rad upcycling skills. I just wanted to feature a few ideas that I am going to be trying out very soon.

I love, love, love these recycled Snapple bottles over at "The Hand Me Down House". In fact I loved them so much that I bought a few random bottles to repurpose at a recent garage sale.

The Best Stuff on Earth
Fabric covered boxes rule. I have a ton of them, and wow it gets expensive buying fabric covered cardboard.  So when Kimberly from Bugaboo, Mini, Mr., and Me posted this tutorial I just about lost it. Duh how could I not realize that instead of recycling those cardboard boxes I could be covering them to make something as awesome as these car caddies.

Boxes and Caddies and Bins Oh My!

Another one of those "Why did I not think of this" moments came when I saw Sewing & Growning's crib sheet to toy box. It is truly a cool way to use that favorite crib sheet your little one has outgrown.

Thank you everyone for participating. you truly all are amazing inspirations.

With out further ado...it's time for Upcycled Awesome, your green linky party dedicated to upcycled crafts and more.  As always you have until Sunday at Midnight to post your upcycled project.

Upcycling is taking something you already have, something rescued from a thrift store, garage sale, or even your neighbors garbage and making it into something new. For more information on upcycling check out this post.

We all need a place to go to find green projects on the web so why not link yours up here and then check out other green crafty bloggers. I know I get some amazing ideas from this linky party.

Pretty much anything goes. You can sew, Mod Podge, or redo furniture, as long as it is something that is redone in some way or another. Please do not link up projects made from 100% new materials. I love these products, but they really don't constitute upcycling. Other than that here are the rest of the easy rules:

  • Decide what upcycled project you want to link up (more than one is fine by me!)
  • Link below to that specific blog post not your main blog address
  • Grab a party button and pop it up on your blog someplace visible, like your sidebar, linky page, or your upcycled post.
  • Check out the other upcycled projects and comment on them.
  • Don't be offended if I remove your link. Chances are it wasn't an upcycled project so it doesn't really work for this linky (no giveaways or links to your own linky parties)
  • Click here to see what my take on upcycled is :)

Don't forget to grab a button:

I can't wait to see what you all come up with!
