Just Like That, I am Back

If I said I was back, would you believe me? Blogging is complicated, and there are so many "get rich quick" blogging schemes that make it look like you are a lost cause if you are not currently earning money blogging. And why are you even blogging if you don't have multiple streams of income and entertainment. If you don't have a brand? I do have this website, but I do not have Instagram, Twitter, TikTok (you don't want to see me dance), or whatever is next.  Heck, I haven't even updated this since before the pandemic. So why am I here, writing about being back and then, probably ghosting for another two years? Life has been rough. It's been painful and overwhelming. I am so thankful for you my readers, or what is left of you. I am so thankful you are reading this post. I am so thankful that you are still committed to making the world a more exciting and more sustainable place.  Keep up-cycling my friends, and you never know, I might be back again with an

Where Do You Sell Your Crafty Goodness?

It's hard being a blogger, a momma, and trying to get your crafty business of the ground. So I wanted to know where do you sell your crafty goodness?

I sell at one store currently:

Crafty Goodness in Cleveland Ohio
I would sell at more stores but I never seem to get around to making enough product to shop around. I know I am a slacker.

I do have an ETSY site : http://www.etsy.com/shop/tshirtdiaries but I haven't gotten any products put up.  I am just not happy with my pictures so I don't list, which means I don't sell, and well I really don't have a store then do I.

I am a regular at a lot of craft shows.

But I have to say by the time I get a babysitter and pay the entrance into the event it's really hit or miss as to what profit if any I make.

So what are your suggestions. How do you sell your crafts, what is your favorite method, are you a craft show groupie or shopping your wares at local co-op stores? Do you use and sell via ETSY, or just kind of take orders from friends.

I want to hear your voice and what you do. Maybe talking about this can help us get better at our crafy businesses?

Boy do I hear you! I don't even have a kid (yet) and it's hard for me to get my stuff out there. I LOVE Crafty Goodness and have a few products there currently and also participate in as many craft fairs as I can swing. Even sans babysitter I have a hard time justifying even the smallest table fees. I want to get on Etsy but I've been dragging my feet on that too. Sometimes I really doubt what I'm doing, but what else is knew right? Your stuff rocks and I really enjoy your blog. Keep it up!

You are so sweet! I was loving your blog today! Maybe we should request an etsy 101 class at crafty goodness! One with homework so we would have to post something on our site.

Currently, I'm only on Etsy. However, once you find a niche market (or just a really good set of customers), you're set. You might not make a living at it, but you can certainly earn some extra crafting money. :)

I've always been intimidated by craft shows. For one thing, it would require me to get an additional business license in my state. For another, I don't want to lose a lot of money on fees and such ... And most of the craft shows in my area are either held in a church or go over Sunday, neither of which I practice.

I'm VERY intimidated with the idea of putting my creations into a storefront. I'm not a very self-confident person when it comes to things like that, so I haven't even pursued it.

Have you ever thought of asking to see if any of your friends are good at taking pictures? Someone may be willing to take pictures for your Etsy shop in exchange for a handmade item now and then.

Anyway, apparently you're not alone. :)
