Just Like That, I am Back

Image
If I said I was back, would you believe me? Blogging is complicated, and there are so many "get rich quick" blogging schemes that make it look like you are a lost cause if you are not currently earning money blogging. And why are you even blogging if you don't have multiple streams of income and entertainment. If you don't have a brand? I do have this website, but I do not have Instagram, Twitter, TikTok (you don't want to see me dance), or whatever is next. Heck, I haven't even updated this since before the pandemic. So why am I here, writing about being back and then, probably ghosting for another two years? Life has been rough. It's been painful and overwhelming. I am so thankful for you my readers, or what is left of you. I am so thankful you are reading this post. I am so thankful that you are still committed to making the world a more exciting and more sustainable place. Keep up-cycling my friends, and you never know, I might be back again with an

Once in the month of September if you absolutely have to you can use the "Oops" button. The Oops button and post it on your blog along with a picture of your stashbusting confession. Don't worry nothing bad will happen to you as long as you own up to your stashbusting sins:

Where do I post my fabulous stash busted crafts? Stashbusting September Blogs - Link Up Time

Image
The following blogs are proud participants in Stashbusting September! They will be proudly linking there Stashbusting projects over at my review site: -HERE- Stashbusting September blogs are voluntarily giving up buying crafting supplies for the month of September. They promise to: Link your blog (the main page please not an individual post) to the linky below. The linky will be open until September 4th at Midnight. Craft for personal use only with items they have on hand. No buying new craft supplies, even if you are shopping at Goodwill or garage sales. It is all about busting your craft supply at hand and actually doing those projects you bought all the stash for in the first place. (Buying craft supplies for business use IS permitted) Think of unique and creative ways to use items they were thinking of throwing out (diaper boxes to fabric covered storage bins, pencil holders from soup cans, upcycled clothing, etc.) Think outside of the box. Try to make at least one upcy

Let me know what your questions are and I will answer away in a lovely little post on Monday. I know there are a lot of questions as to what happens if you run out of thread (it's okay to buy thread) and what if you see the deal of the century on five yards of Amy Butler fabric for $1 (buy it, if you don't tell me where the sale is and I will. I will have a stashbusting "get out of jail button" for you to proudly display). So any questions...ask away now or forever hold your piece (LOL),

The Story of JC Chasez's Head

Image
Once upon a time there were two beautiful women, Emily and Robin: Emily & I Rockin It Emily decided to give Robin a wonderful present. This JC Chasez booblehead: Sadly JC lost his head. He drank too much and fell off a desk, it happens. He was lovely as a full on bobble-head, but as just a head, well he became portable. Throughout the years Emily and Robin began placing JC Chasez's head in various surprise locations in each others homes. The girls moved apart, one got married and had kids (me?) and the other lived a rocking single life which would make any celebrity jealous (complete with a hottie boyfriend). JC was forced to split his time between Chicago and Cleveland. This actually worked quite well for the little head. One day it dawned on Robin to take pictures of this traveling head partying across the country. JC and C2 JC Chasez's head absolutely loved the paparazzi and could not wait to get photographed with the various Rock Stars o

Flower Girl Headpiece Tutorial

Image
I scoured the online world for an easy headpiece for C1 for my Sister-in-Law JT's wedding with no luck. There were a ideas, but nothing that made me stop watching Food Network and run out to the craft store to grab supplies. So I was left with no choice but to make my own tutorial for this little beauty: For this wonderful little flower girl: Aren't they all so beautiful. I know I am biased. So here is how to make it. You will need: Floral wire Floral Tape Flowers Wire cutters Flower Girl (to measure her head) Ribbon Fray check Grab your favorite flower girl to-be: Bribe her with some candy to sit still for a minute while you wrap two pieces of floral wire around her head (Yeah C2 snuck in there. gotta love him.): Let the kids play because you are ready to make that flower girl's headpiece (or crown if that is what you want to call it). Snip off the ends of your floral wire. Now break out your floral tape. I choose an off white and boug
