Just Like That, I am Back

 If I said I was back, would you believe me? Blogging is complicated, and there are so many "get rich quick" blogging schemes that make it look like you are a lost cause if you are not currently earning money blogging. And why are you even blogging if you don't have multiple streams of income and entertainment. If you don't have a brand? I do have this website, but I do not have Instagram, Twitter, TikTok (you don't want to see me dance), or whatever is next.  Heck, I haven't even updated this since before the pandemic. So why am I here, writing about being back and then, probably ghosting for another two years? Life has been rough. It's been painful and overwhelming. I am so thankful for you my readers, or what is left of you. I am so thankful you are reading this post. I am so thankful that you are still committed to making the world a more exciting and more sustainable place.  Keep up-cycling my friends, and you never know, I might be back again with an

Keeping Busy

I wish I would have taken some pictures.

I haven't been blogging because I am trying to sell my house and made a few awesome crafty decorations to spruce it up.

What I did (again darn it I did not take pictures):

  • Took two thrifted mirrors and painted them sherwin williams turkish coffee, added a gilded bronze 1 1/2" ribbon and instant antro inspired mirrors.
  • Took a yard of $2.00 fabric and made a kitchen curtain
  • Took three thrifted frames, painted with my fave Turkish coffee, and put some hand cut bird silhouettes. I am developing quite the little bird obsession.
  • Made a curtain for the bathroom
  • Painted three little terra-cotta pots with chalkboard paint, made a flower for each out of reclaimed cards and floral wire then put in chalk Live, Laugh, and Dream on the front. (total cost $1.00 thanks to the dollar section of Goodwill)
  • Spray painted three copperish jello molds with burnished bronze spray paint.
  • Made an awesome wreathe out of our old Christmas tree skirt.
Yes I have been very busy, just no crafty pictures. Next time.

Hello lovely T-shirt Diary followers!  The Pink Bat Girl is here to rescue you from plain old scrap wood and boredom today with a fun Memorial Day upcycled project!  My block wood is courtesy of an old toddler bed that all of my kids used from Ikea.  The bed has been given away, however, we still had the old wood that went under the mattress.  I thought it would make some really great wood blocks! I took this old wood and my hubby's handy dandy saw and cut them into my desired lengths!.. I love power tools!  So if you would like to make some of these fun decorations here is what you need!
