Just Like That, I am Back

If I said I was back, would you believe me? Blogging is complicated, and there are so many "get rich quick" blogging schemes that make it look like you are a lost cause if you are not currently earning money blogging. And why are you even blogging if you don't have multiple streams of income and entertainment. If you don't have a brand? I do have this website, but I do not have Instagram, Twitter, TikTok (you don't want to see me dance), or whatever is next.  Heck, I haven't even updated this since before the pandemic. So why am I here, writing about being back and then, probably ghosting for another two years? Life has been rough. It's been painful and overwhelming. I am so thankful for you my readers, or what is left of you. I am so thankful you are reading this post. I am so thankful that you are still committed to making the world a more exciting and more sustainable place.  Keep up-cycling my friends, and you never know, I might be back again with an

Collective Upcycle Pop-Up Opens

Summers are for having fun, and nothing, I mean nothing, is more fun to me then being part of Collective Upcycle.

Yesterday was their Grand Opening celebration (complete with cupcakes and champagne!)

There was just so much amazing recycled art I was completely jaw-droopingly, floored. In a good way of course.

Check out some amazing upcycles ( oh and I had to explain to my mom yesterday what upcycling is so if you do not know it is taking something pre-loved and giving it a second life.)

Audra from Little Tiger and the Milk Bellied Princess
My friend and fellow blogger Audra created these amazing fuzzy wigs out of felted sweaters and yarn remnants. She saw several of them make their way to a new home last night.

An adorable little high school student made these upcycled pins as a way to raise money to become a foreign exchange student.  Her mom and co-artist Maudy is a seamstress and I love how she inspired her daughter to take on this creative venture.

These are clocks from old records shaped like the state of Ohio! Awesome.

I could go on, but it is a nice day out, and the children need to get outside instead of watching television while their mamma drools over last nights amazing group of artists.

Please if you are in the Cleveland area check out Collective Upcycle at 6706 Detroit Avenue, Thursday - Sunday until June 24th. You will not be sorry.
